Description

The Simplex 4081-9008 End-of-Line Wire is a crucial component for monitoring wiring continuity in Class B fire alarm circuits. It's an End-of-Line Resistor (EOLR) designed to be connected at remote locations where EOL resistors are required. This ensures the fire alarm control panel (FACP) can detect three states: normal, short circuit, and open circuit. The resistor value is 10kΩ at 1/2W, with 600V black insulation and 13mm stripped leads. Its primary purpose is to supervise the integrity of alarm circuits, preventing unnoticed faults that could compromise safety. It's a genuine Simplex component, emphasizing reliability and compatibility with Simplex systems. I need to make sure I structure this clearly into the requested HTML format, focusing on the features and benefits for someone installing or maintaining fire alarm systems. Introduction: * What it is: Simplex 4081-9008 End-of-Line Wire, a resistor harness. * Who it's for: Fire alarm technicians, system installers, and maintainers. * Main appeal: Ensures critical wiring continuity and system integrity in Class B fire alarm circuits. Key Features: * 10kΩ, 1/2W Resistor: Specific resistance and wattage for Class B circuit supervision. * 600V Black Insulation: Durable and safely insulated wiring. * Stripped 0.5" (13mm) Leads: Ready for quick and secure termination. * Designed for Class B Circuits: Explicitly for conventional fire alarm systems that require EOL supervision. * Genuine Simplex Component: Ensures compatibility and quality within Simplex fire protection systems. * UL Listed: (From search, not explicitly in product description, but found in. This is a good differentiator if applicable). I should include this as it reinforces trustworthiness. Benefits: * Reliable Circuit Supervision: Allows the fire alarm control panel to continuously monitor wiring continuity, detecting open circuits, shorts, and normal conditions. * Enhanced System Integrity: Prevents undetected faults like cut wires or disconnected devices, ensuring the fire alarm system remains operational and ready to respond. * Simplified Installation: Pre-stripped leads and a compact design streamline the installation process in remote locations. * Code Compliance Support: Facilitates adherence to fire safety codes like NFPA 72 by providing essential end-of-line supervision. * Reduced Troubleshooting Time: Instant fault detection allows technicians to quickly pinpoint and address issues, maintaining optimal system performance. The image shows a simple black wire harness with a small white label. I can mention the color (black insulation) and the appearance of the stripped leads. The label has a UL logo, reinforcing the UL Listed feature.

The Simplex 4081-9008 End-of-Line Wire is an essential component designed to maintain the integrity and reliability of your Class B fire alarm circuits. This resistor harness provides critical supervision, ensuring continuous monitoring of wiring continuity in life safety systems.

  • 10kΩ, 1/2W Resistor: Precisely engineered with a 10 kilo-ohm resistance and 1/2-watt rating, providing the exact specifications required for robust Class B circuit supervision.
  • Durable 600V Black Insulation: Features high-quality black insulation rated for 600 volts, offering superior protection and longevity in demanding fire protection environments.
  • Pre-Stripped 0.5" (13mm) Leads: The wire leads come conveniently stripped to 0.5 inches (13 mm), facilitating quick, secure, and professional electrical connections during installation.
  • Class B Circuit Compatibility: Specifically designed for use as an End-of-Line (EOL) resistor in Class B conventional fire alarm systems, it is crucial for verifying the operational status of alarm zones.
  • Genuine Simplex Component: As an authentic Simplex part, it guarantees seamless compatibility and reliable performance when integrated with other Simplex fire alarm control panels and accessories.
  • UL Listed to Standard 864: This component is Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Listed to Standard 864, affirming its compliance with rigorous safety and performance standards for fire alarm equipment.

Utilizing the Simplex 4081-9008 End-of-Line Wire ensures that your fire alarm control panel can continuously monitor circuit integrity, providing immediate alerts for open circuits or short circuits, not just alarm conditions. This proactive supervision is vital for preventing undetected faults that could compromise your system's ability to respond effectively in an emergency, thereby enhancing overall safety and system reliability. Its straightforward design with pre-stripped leads simplifies installation at remote locations, streamlining maintenance and reducing troubleshooting time for technicians. By incorporating this reliable EOL resistor, you help maintain code compliance and ensure your fire protection system is always at its optimal performance, ready to protect occupants.
